The Farm Sole Proprietorship data are based on Schedule F of Form 1040 filed by individual taxpayers. The tables listed below show the number of Schedules F filed, as well as data on taxpayer assistance and IRS examination coverage.
Other information on farms is included in many of the Form 1040 data tables found at Individual Income Tax Return Statistics. This includes Tables A, 1.3, and 1.4 of the Individual Complete Reports (Publication 1304), which show data for farm net income or loss.
